About the Event
This webinar will introduce emotion regulation from a mindfulness-based perspective as a fundamental skill for psychological well-being.
It will help you to understand the role of emotions and how to recognize ( internal body signals and external expression of emotions ) and name them.
Starting from analyzing dysfunctional patterns to regulate emotions, this webinar will provide practical tips that will help increase positive emotions and reduce emotional vulnerability and also skills to deal with difficult emotions.
The skills derived from the integration of Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP) approaches developed by Marsha Linehan ( 1993) and Marlatt & Bowen (2009). There will be space for questions throughout the webinar.
Learning Objectives
Understand our personal responses to emotions
Be able to identify and name emotions
Understand the basics of Urge Surfing with emotions
Understand an example of chain analysis in disordered eating behaviors (vulnerability factors, triggers, emotions, thoughts, urges, and actions/Behaviours)
About the Presenter
Cecilia Clementi, Ph.D ., Psych.D, is a TCME Board member.
She is a Clinical and Health Psychologist and psychotherapist. She is also a teacher in Mindfulness-based programs (MBSR, MBCT, MBRP, MB-EAT, I Eat).
Cecilia qualified as a mindfulness teacher at The Italian Center for Mindfulness studies (CISM) and trained as a mindful eating teacher in Bruxelles (Belgium) with Jean Kristeller.
Cecilia has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Bologna (Italy), where she also obtained her Clinical and Community Psychology degree and her Specialization as a Health Psychologist and psychotherapist. She has also qualified in Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization, and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Compassion focused therapy (CFT).
Her areas of expertise include eating disorders, obesity, addiction, trauma, mood, and anxiety disorders. She lives in Italy, and she works as a psychotherapist and Mindfulness Teacher in her private clinic and at San Nicola’s Addiction Rehab Center. She also collaborates with The Department of Psychology of the University of Bologna and The Center for Mindfulness- Motus Mundi, Italy, as a co-trainer of the I Eat Mindful Eating Professional Training.
Cecilia has been practicing Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism for 20 years.
