Fiona Sutherland, RD, Australia, co-founder of Body Positive Australia, is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian with a diverse working background including international clinical work, private practice, sports nutrition, research & working extensively in Dietetic training (with both students and colleagues). Fiona is a specialist in Mindful Eating and the NonDiet Approach & supports eating in an individually tailored way that supports every person’s unique needs. Cinzia Pezzolesi, PhD, London, UK, is a Clinical Psychologist and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapist. Cinzia is also a senior lecturer on mental health and wellbeing. Cinzia qualified as mindfulness teacher at the University of Bangor (North Wales, UK), and trained as Mindful Eating trainer in Boston (USA). She currently serves on The Center for Mindful Eating board of directors. Cinzia has a PhD in Human Factors in Health Care and obtained her Clinical Psychologist degree from the University of Urbino (IT) where she is originally from. She currently lives in the UK, and over the years she has developed a strong research interest around wellbeing and mindfulness in various health care settings. Her areas of expertise include eating disorders, substance of misuse, anxiety and depression. (Interview above)



Cuca Azinovic​, PCC​ Mindfulness Expert in Health Contexts​ in  Madrid, Spain, is  the founder ​of Bienestar Consciente. She is a wellness coach and Mindfulness Expert specializing in mindful eating and self-compassion. Uffe Damborg, MSc Psychology, Copenhagen, Denmark. Here is why we reached out to Uffe for this interview. “As a Clinical Psychologist, Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and Mindfulness Teacher, (both secular and spiritual), who teaches at Buddhist retreats in Scandinavia, I have been teaching mindful eating practices since 2007. I have worked with individual consultations, group-based courses, lectures and through the media. In my youth, I have spent 8 years as a lay practitioner in Buddhist meditation monasteries in South Asia, the home of mindfulness, that today adds a strong flavor to my emphasize on mindfulness meditation to integrate mindful eating into Western psychology. That very structured approach to mindful eating is the topic of this book that I co-authored with a nutritionist: Mindful Eating Awareness: Weight Loss with Wisdom. Claudia Vega (Mexico) is a Pediatrician, Nutritionist and Psychotherapist. She specializes in working with children, teenagers and adults who have eating and weight issues. Knowing that the family functions as a system, she designed a family-based program in which nutrition education and emotional regulation are key components of this approach. She founded Nutrintegra in 2010, a clinic for Nutrition and Mindful Eating for Children, Youth and Adults. (Interviewed above)



María del Carmen Gangotena, M.Sc., M.Ed. Quito - Ecuador.  Here is why we reached out to Maria for this interview. “I am a mindful eating practitioner and I can say that the approach have improved my life is every pathway. In the future,  I would like to conduct some research in mindful eating and cultural issues, to find the that traditional mindfulness practices in indigenous populations. I have been  working in the mindful eating approach since 2014, during this time, I attended two professional trainings in US and Europe.  My main path of practicum, is to train nutritionists and therapists in mindful eating techniques. I offer weekend workshops, every other month, in Quito and Cuenca.  The methodology used in the workshop is a combinations of the work of recognized authors:  Jan Chozen Bays, Brian Wansink, Susan Albers and Jane Kristeller.”

Marsha Hudnall, MS, RD, CD, is president and co-owner of Green Mountain at Fox Run, a women’s weight management retreat in Vermont that pioneered the non-diet approach to healthy weights. Green Mountain was founded 40 years ago to help women stop dieting and learn how to truly take care of themselves to reach and maintain their natural healthy weights. Mindful eating has been a core component of the program for over 25 years. (interviewed above)
