About the Event

This webinar is aimed and the personal mindful eating community and will explore the many facets of hunger. Many of us find ourselves reaching for food for a multitude of reasons, including physical hunger. Thanks to Diet Culture it can become challenging to know and give ourselves permission to eat when physically hungry and we might feel shame when eating for non-physical hunger reasons.

Together we will explore ways food and eating nourish us both physically and emotionally alongside the times it does not offer us the satisfaction we are desiring. We will look at food and eating as a form of selfcare, exploring pleasure and what might get in the way of it, as well as looking at the nine different hungers as outlined by Jan Chozen Bays.

Learning Objectives

    1. A better understanding of physical, emotional and spiritual hunger

    2. Ways to explore for themselves what they can learn from their hunger.

    3. A simple guided practice to check in with themselves on their physical hunger levels.
