Eat for Life Mindful Eating Teacher Training Online with Lynn Rossy, PhD

Since 2018 the Brazilian Centre for Mindful Eating has partnered with Lynn Rossy, PhD, to offer the professional teacher training for mindful eating teachers based on her mindful eating program, Eat for Life. Due to the pandemic, the 4th edition of this teacher training has been carefully adapted for the online format.


Training program structure:

September 11 and October 16: Two mandatory retreat days led by Lynn Rossy, PhD (From 10am to 5pm GMT -3) 

September 6 – November 8: From 7 – 8:30 pm (GMT -3)Ten weekly sessions on Mondays led by Lynn Rossy, PhD (2 absences of live sessions allowed upon delivery of report about the recorded session),

Four small group sessions during the ten weeks with one of the co-directors of the Brazilian Center for Mindful Eating from 7 pm to 8 pm -3 GMT (Group 1 on Tuesdays; Group 2 on Wednesdays and Group 3 on Thursdays)

The training fee also covers 12 mentorship sessions during the teaching of the teacher in training first group offer, required for the certification to teach Eat for Life. 

 Pre-requisites:

1. Completed one Eat for Life program as a participant, led by a qualified (or certified) teacher;

2. Healthcare, health sciences, or education professional (exceptions to this will be individually evaluated upon request).

Facilitators:

Lead Trainer: 

Lynn Rossy, PhD, author and health psychologist. She is the President of the Center for Mindful Eating and has been teaching the Eat for Life since 2006. She is the Executive Director of Tasting Mindfulness, LLC, specializing in mindfulness-based interventions for eating, stress, and workplace wellness. 

Assistant Trainers:

Daniela Araujo, PhD, Co-Director of the Brazilian Center for Mindful Eating. She teaches and mentors mindful eating teachers on the Eat for Life program and is also an ME-CL 1 teacher. She is a certified and accredited teacher and assistant trainer in Neurocognitive Foundations for Mindfulness Teachers/ Body in Mind Training (BMT) by Mindfulness Centre of Excellence (UK). mindfulness teacher in Mindfulness for Health Promotion (UNIFESP). 

Driele Quinhoneiro, RD. MSc – Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Brazilian Center for Mindful Eating. She is a mindfulness teacher in Mindfulness for Health Promotion (UNIFESP), mindful eating teacher, mentor and assistant trainer (Eat for Life - Lynn Rossy and Level 1 ME-CL Training (Jan Chozen Bays and Char Wilkins). She is a member of the Center for Mindfulness and Integrative Therapies (EERP-USP)

Paula Teixeira, MD. Co-Founder and Co-Director of the Brazilian Center for Mindful Eating.​ She is a mindfulness teacher in Mindfulness for Health Promotion (UNIFESP), mindful eating teacher, mentor and assistant trainer (Eat for Life - Lynn Rossy and Level 1 ME-CL Training - Jan Chozen Bays and Char Wilkins). She also has a private practice with Integrative Medicine and Mindful Eating, working with clients with disordered eating, food-related disorders, obesity and diabetes.
