Our experiences from our childhood and in our current
often are reflected in our relationship to eating and food. Mindfulness can help us identify these patterns of thinking, acting, and emotional response, with a sense of self-acceptance and non-reactivity. We will explore this process and identify ways to shift from an inner “criticalparent” reaction to alternatives.
· Be able to identify ways in which our family experiences continue to influence our food choices and preferences.
· Be able to identify the key components of Eric Berne’s Transactional Analysis Model as it applies to our relationship to eating.
· Understand ways to mindfully apply the TA model clinically and with a sense of self-acceptance.
