Meditation cultivates attention and awareness of thoughts, feelings, and all the senses without judgment. It encourages curiosity and cultivates compassion, thus providing a foundation for mindful eating.
The Center for Mindful Eating would love to develop a community of members who share the above view and create a protected time and space to deepen your meditation practice together with like-minded people.
This drop-in meditation session will commence with a brief round of introductions, followed by a twenty-five minute guided meditation practice. After the sitting, there will be a short talk and guided discussion around a mindfulness related topic. This will be followed by a final cultivation practice (e.g. gratitude, loving-kindness) to conclude.
This meditation drop-in class is designed for those who have an existing mindfulness practice.
- deepen your meditation practice
develop a sense of our online community
- take time for yourself
